Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the results of treatment of 208 fractures of the knee joint area according to the data of the Center of Traumatology of the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2000-2023. All patients underwent transosseous osteosynthesis with external fixation devices. The observation periods ranged from 1 year to 18 years. The results were evaluated based on the data of clinical and radiological examination of patients. In the vast majority of cases, positive treatment outcomes have been achieved. Transosseous osteosynthesis with external fixation devices provides accurate reposition and stable fixation of fractures and is the most gentle method of surgical treatment. Transosseous osteosynthesis with external fixation devices is the method of choice for this category of injuries and can be used for various types of fractures of the knee joint area.
