Abstract
This study explores the syntactic relationships between primary and subordinate sentence constituents in both the Russian and Azerbaijani languages. Primary clauses serve as the foundation of a sentence, encapsulating its core idea, while subordinate clauses elaborate on and provide detailed nuances to this central concept. The subject, typically denoting the entity carrying out the action or receiving its impact, assumes prominence as the primary sentence constituent. Simultaneously, the predicate, delineating the action executed by the subject, also emerges as a pivotal element. Secondary constituents, encompassing completeness, definition, and adverbs, play a crucial role in elucidating the nature of the subject or the action itself, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the sentence structure.
