Abstract
Methods for filtering the high-frequency component of an image were studied in the work. Based on the simulation results, it was found that a high-pass filter copes with this task most effectively: butterworth filter, which can quickly perform processing, and after its application the image retains a large informative component. Ideal and Gaussian high-frequency filters also showed acceptable results; they are only slightly inferior in performance and preservation of the information content of image elements. Difference filters turned out to be less effective, showing the longest processing time, and after their application a large amount of useful information can be lost.
