Abstract
Tsvetaev’s favorite punctuation mark is the dash, which creates the effect of a rapid change of close-up cinematic plans, as in the poem “Train of Life”: “The platform.// – And the sleepers.-// And the last bush// In the hand.”

In English, dashes have much more restricted functions. Translators often reduce their number or even replace them with other punctuation marks in order to avoid excessive artificial eccentricity of the poetic text.

In her poetry, she contrasts melodious verse, which contains anaphors, parallelism and a clear division into stanzas, with the techniques of colloquial speech, which is based on the logical and emotional division of the phrase.

In terms of the lexical content of literary texts, M. Tsvetaeva freely combines words of high style with colloquial and vernacular ones, and in the area of syntax, short phrases and long sentences, complicated by introductory constructions, coexist.

Syntactic transfers have increased expression in Tsvetaeva’s verse when poetic meter and syntax collide.

The originality of the intonation pattern of Tsvetaeva’s lyrics is determined by its highest degree of sincerity and confession.

English-speaking translators cite intonation as one of the biggest difficulties in their work with Tsvetaeva’s literary texts.

Abstract
Speaking is a type of human speech activity. Participation in the communication process involves mastering oral speech, that is, the formation of speaking skills as a type of speech competence. In the process of learning a foreign language, the development of speaking skills is focused on achieving a level of speech competencies at which the student can calmly express his own opinion/idea/thought using the means of a foreign language. It should be emphasized that both the ability to make a monologue statement and the ability to build a full-fledged dialogue in the context of a speech situation are important. In the process of learning a foreign language, authentic materials act as a resource that can serve as a model for constructing a monologue statement or provide a conceptual idea for a monologue. The article discusses the relevance of using authentic materials for the development of monologue speech skills in foreign language classes.

THE IMPACT OF MACHINE TRANSLATION ON SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING

Abstract
This study explores the impact of machine translation tools, specifically SDL Trados and MemoQ, on the practice of simultaneous interpreting. Focusing on various interpreting scenarios, it assesses the effectiveness of these tools in enhancing interpreters’ efficiency and accuracy. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining experimental tasks, surveys, and case studies, to provide a comprehensive analysis. The findings reveal that while machine translation significantly improves performance in technical contexts, its effectiveness is notably context-dependent, especially in culturally nuanced dialogues. The study also highlights the potential of machine translation as a preparatory aid rather than a standalone solution for real-time interpreting. Implications for training and operational strategies in the interpreting profession are discussed, along with the need for a balanced integration of human expertise and technological assistance.

Muslimova O. – THE MAIN IDEA OF STRUGGLE IN GERMAN EMIGRATION LITERATURE

THE MAIN IDEA OF STRUGGLE IN GERMAN EMIGRATION LITERATURE

Muslimova O.
Ph.D. in philology, associate professor
Ganja State University

Abstract
As the author noted, one of the main topics of German emigration literature was the Second World War. This theme was reflected in works written in various genres. The revolutionary events that took place in Germany, the two world wars in which the country participated and was one of the main parties in both, bloody coups, and the establishment of the fascist dictatorship left an indelible mark on the works of all representatives of German literature of the 20th century.
The literary activity of brothers Thomas and Heinrich Mann, Hermann  Hesse, Leon Feuchtwanger,  Berthold  Brecht and others, who are prominent representatives of German emigration literature, during the emigration years is intertwined with their political activity. As the author shows, one of the issues that made T. Mann think deeply was the issue of the responsibility of the German intellectuals towards the fate of the country. According to T. Mann, the historical sin of the German intellectuals is that they artificially separated culture from politics, and as a result indirectly helped fascism to gain power. Despite all this, as the author noted, all the representatives of German emigration literature never put down their pens and fought against fascism with confidence and courage until their last breath, in a word, they became the “hitting” hand of the German people

ANGLICISMS IN CONTEMPORARY FRENCH: A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF LINGUISTIC BORROWING AND CULTURAL INTEGRATION

Abstract
This study provides an extensive analysis of the use of Anglicisms in contemporary French, illustrating the multifaceted nature of linguistic borrowing and its implications for cultural and linguistic evolution. By examining a corpus of 250 Anglicisms across various domains—including technology and internet, business and economics, lifestyle and entertainment, and academic and scientific terminology—the research reveals the profound influence of English on the French language in the context of globalization and cultural exchange. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative analysis (frequency and statistical significance tests) with qualitative assessments (interviews, surveys, and thematic coding), this study highlights the dynamic interplay between language adaptation and cultural trends. The findings show a significant integration of English vocabulary in French, reflecting broader socio-cultural shifts and the global dominance of English in several domains. Additionally, the study explores the resistance to Anglicisms within French linguistic purism, suggesting a balance between linguistic evolution and the preservation of French linguistic heritage. This research contributes to the understanding of language change in the era of globalization, offering insights into the linguistic and cultural dynamics of Anglicism integration in French society.
