Abstract
Methods for filtering the high-frequency component of an image were studied in the work. Based on the simulation results, it was found that a high-pass filter copes with this task most effectively: butterworth filter, which can quickly perform processing, and after its application the image retains a large informative component. Ideal and Gaussian high-frequency filters also showed acceptable results; they are only slightly inferior in performance and preservation of the information content of image elements. Difference filters turned out to be less effective, showing the longest processing time, and after their application a large amount of useful information can be lost.

Abstract
The growing of high-strength low-alloy steels use in the welded metal structures manufacture is accompanied by an increase in the requirements for the reliability of prediction results in the “composition-structure-properties” system. The fractal analysis methods use makes it possible to establish a metal structure characteristics numerical parameterization, the metallographic analysis of which gave only a qualitative assessment. The article shows the fractal analysis possibilities for the numerical evaluation of such of the structure of weld metal characteristics as the total length of grain boundaries, the distribution of dislocations at the grains structural boundaries, the distribution density of non-metallic inclusions accumulations with a distance less than 5r from one another. There was show the possibility of the structure and non-metallic inclusions numerical parameterization in the “structure-fractal-properties” system for predicting the mechanical properties of the low-alloy high-strength steels weld metal

Abstract
Brewery wastewater contains dissolved organic substances, therefore, for their highly efficient cleaning, it is necessary to use suitable and economically beneficial ecological technologies. Substances dissolved in water cannot be filtered or precipitated using coagulants, removed using flotation, etc. Some of the impurities can be removed by physical and chemical methods, but the main part of them is in the solution. Effective treatment of such wastes is possible only if biotechnological methods of treatment are used.

Abstract
Cold resistance is one of the most important properties of materials that determine the reliability and durability of structures and equipment in low temperature conditions. The article presents the results of an analysis of the influence of chemical composition on the cold resistance of steels. These data can serve as a scientific basis for the development of advanced technologies for the production of promising materials for extreme operating conditions.

Keywords: cold resistance, steel, chemical composition, alloying elements, mechanical properties.

Abstract
The article views the characteristics of mountain-valley winds in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the processes of the emergence of instant gusts of these winds.

Depending on the complex geographical conditions of the region, the characteristics of mountain-valley winds, their curvilinear flow around mountain valleys and narrow passages, and the dynamics of wind speed were analyzed, and the results of scientific research conducted to determine the current wind potential of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were shown.

The results of the scientific research conducted on the causes and development of the instant wind gusts in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic have been shown. The impact of sudden wind gust on the environment was analyzed.

The researches caried out fully confirm the existence of the instant wind gust in the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and how dangerous it is.

Keywords: mountain-valley winds, instant wind gust, shower, thunderstorm, vortex, air temperature, relief of the area.
